This is another very early piece of masking tape that I’ve affixed to paper. Again, I’ve left the paper visible in an attempt to create a composition that highlights the patterns in the paper itself.  Since 2005 or 2006, when this was made, I’ve mostly stopped trying to create compositions via tape placement on paper in favor of linear placement (with most composition choices being about color match-ups).  If I need to mix the composition up further I can always collage or quilt them later (as in the circle pieces earlier this week).
